Mabel Bassett Project

This design pack was heavily influenced not only by the shock I experienced in discovering that Oklahoma is the front-runner in femxle incarceration world-wide, but also the atrocities occurring at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in Mcloud, Oklahoma. A simple Google search of the facility will not begin unveiling the unfathomable truth happening inside their walls until the very last entry on the first page of search results.

 

The Mabel Bassett series is a sister endeavor of projectEXIST. The stickers were given to communities for free in order to help spread awareness to the purposely hidden truths of the mistreatment and abuse womxn are currently facing in Oklahoma's largest female institution.
